Cozy Coffee Corner for Chilly Mornings

With the mornings growing cooler as we near fall, having coffee or tea on our porch in the morning is becoming less comfortable. I was really getting depressed thinking about how we will eventually have to close up our porch for the fall and winter season. :( Then it occurred to me that it is within our power to create a new favorite morning space. ❤

There is a corner of our living room that is perfect. It has brick, a fireplace and just gives you that outdoor vibe you don't get in the winter. The unfortunate thing is that this corner gets very little light and it screams for plants. I've tried some there and they have suffered. Then it hit me, WHAT IF I HANG A GROW LIGHT?😊

Mornings are cooler, but warm coffee and a warm fire makes getting up a pleasure.

I found a grow light on Amazon that is PERFECT. It's simple, hangs from the ceiling and is ON A TIMER!!! It is so perfect! I mean think about it. The sun is coming up later and later but it will always come up at the same time in our living room corner. I'm thinking this might just make the dark days of winter here in Minnesota a little more bearable.

This also solves another problem. Some plants I've purchased this year are struggling and after getting a book and doing some research I discovered it's because they don't get enough light in our house. This is the perfect solution. I am really praying that in a month or so they perk up and start to fill out. I can not wait to see.

I am now a little less sad about the mornings getting cooler and losing the space on the porch. Instead of listening to our water fountain, birds singing, and squirrels chattering we'll be listening to a crackling fire. But I think that the porch will always be my favorite space to have coffee.
